Treatment is performed at SOMA Medical Services by our doctors. Minimal brief discomfort may be experienced but there is no anesthesia required. The procedure takes 15-30 minutes depending on the areas being treated. There is no downtime and patients can resume their daily activities following treatment. Stay upright for a few hours after treatment and avoid strenuous exercise, drinking alcohol, hot weather, sun beds, saunas, or steam rooms for 48 hours. It typically takes 2-3 days to feel the muscles in the affected area start to relax. Optimal results are usually seen in 2 weeks. The results can last a few months however results vary with each patient.

Who is contraindicated for treatment with BOTOX, XEOMIN, Jeaveau, Dysport, etc.?
Patients that are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have a prior history or experience muscle weakness, a medical condition such as Myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, prior allergy to BOTOX or any neurotoxin, infections or skin issues at injection sites. Always talk to us if you have any concerns prior to any procedure.

Dermal fillers are substances that are injected and can be used to help restore volume in the face. Most of the fillers are Hyaluronic Acid although there are some non- hyaluronic acid fillers. Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in the skin and is a polysaccharide polymer that retains water giving the skin a natural look and feel.

Treatment is only performed by our physicians at SOMA Medical Services. Anesthesia is not required but we can provide a topical anesthetic prior to treatment. The procedure takes 30-60 minutes depending on the areas being treated. There is no downtime and patients can resume their daily activities following treatment. You will start to see results immediately. The treated areas may become swollen or red, and this can persist from a couple of hours to a couple of days. If swelling does occur, applying ice to the area is recommended. The results can last between 6-9 months however results vary with each patient.

What can I expect during treatment with VOTIVA FORMA V and how long does it take?
During treatment, the VOTIVA FORMA V machine will monitor levels of heat applied to the vaginal canal and exterior tissue to ensure you are comfortable. Numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area to ensure comfort. The Forma V applicator will be inserted into the vaginal canal to deliver heat and RF energy, stimulating the tightening process.
Depending on the area being treated, sessions last from 10-40 minutes. There is very little downtime associated with the treatment. Following your treatment, you may experience mild tenderness and swelling in the treatment area. Most patients will require 3 treatment sessions to achieve optimal results.
Preparation involves avoiding intercourse for 24 hours prior to the treatment and stopping the use of NSAIDs like ibuprofen 3 days prior to treatment. Women should not be on their menstrual cycle and hair will need to be removed from the treatment area.
Following the treatment, we will ask you to abstain from intercourse for 7 days and avoid hot tubs, pools and bathtubs for 7 days to allow your body to fully heal.
